History
Hampton Computer, LLC was founded in April, 1997 by President and General Manager, David T. Longo. Starting out as a Telecommunications Consulting Company, known as DTL Group Communications, to market David’s 13 years of Broadcast and Cable Television experience, the company was transformed from a media advertising company into a full computer sales and service-based retail operation in April 2000.
Headquartered on RT 1 in Hampton, NH, Hampton Computer offers Service and Repair on all makes of Desktop and Laptop Computers, as well as Networking and Creative Services.
By dealing honestly with customers, taking an after-the-sale customer service focus, and guaranteeing same day service, our company has established its reputation as one of the premier computer organizations on the Seacoast, specializing in Computer and Laptop Repair and building high quality custom-built new PC’s.
Meet the Staff
David Longo – President and General Manager
David began his professional career after college in 1985 with an assignment with ABC News as a News Assistant with Election Coverage ’84 and the Presidential Inauguration of Ronald Regan in 1985. After media assignments with WMUR-TV 9 (Manchester, NH) and lastly in the Cable Television Industry as a Advertising Sales Executive in the NH and Boston media markets, David retired from the Broadcasting and Cable Industry after 13 years to pursue new directions in new media. His consulting company was started in 1997 and offered computer training and support, along with hardware guidance and purchasing direction on system builds. Due to the growth of his company and to continue better serving his customers, David began his retail store location (Hampton Computer, LLC) in 2000.
In its first 30 years of business, HC has serviced over 25,000 customer requests and has provided outstanding service to many residential and small business customers throughout the North Shore communities of Mass along with the Seacoast Communities in NH and Coastal Rt.1 region of Maine.
In 2003, David started Longo Real Estate Holdings, LLC and acquired the two retail buildings that houses Hampton Computer and the adjacent two rental property buildings, which began his interest in Investment Commercial Real Estate Property, which offers commercial and residential units for lease in Hampton for nearly 25 years.
For the past 35 years, David has resided in Hampton with his wife (Katharine) of 26 years and their daughter, (Amanda) who is 21 years old and who they adopted from China in 2006.
In addition to his family life, David is a past-member of the Hampton Chamber of Commerce and is very active in the local community with his 25 years of membership in the Hampton Rotary Club, where he served as President for the 2005-2006 Rotary Year. During his year in office, the club earned the distinction of a Presidential Citation by the Rotary International President for its club achievements and a Foundation District Service Award, an award recognizing the outstanding service commitment in Promoting The Rotary Foundation and its goal of World Peace and Understanding. David, who has a strong passion of helping others and serving the community, continues to serve as a Past-President to the club and was the first member of his club to repeat as President in 2019-2020 in its 57 year plus history. David also serves currently as Club Historian and Club Secretary, a job he has held for the past 5 years. In 2026-2027, David is back as Co-President serving the club for a third term.
In addition to Chairing its past Golf Tournament for 15 years, David sits on the Scholarship Committee for over 20 years that awards two local high school students an annual scholarship for their 4 years of College enrollment. He also has chaired and co-chaired the club’s Distinguished Citizen of the Year for 10 years along with their Online and Live Auction Charity Events.
